White Belt

White Belt (1/10)

  1. Agree with you! So much power to get from constantly punching bags, as well as in developing focus and speed.
  2. I agree. I would also guess that it started somewhere in Africa or the Middle East. Possibly it started in Mesopotamia. Possibly somewhere far away and much earlier that we have discovered yet. This whole topic would be a very interesting paper (if you have to do one) for a black belt test requirement. Me too, I think it's in Mesopotamia. It's where the oldest known civilization is. Fighting has been a culture in the past.
  3. Like this thought: "Christians shouldn’t be afraid of learning a martial art. However, they should be very cautious about what form of martial art they learn. " Right. As written in the Scriptures, "A fool accepts anything, but a wise man is careful in his ways." Indeed, we have to be watchful of our choices and not just recklessly believe nor accept anything. Let us allow God to guide us to the right decisions.
  4. Very nice article, thanks for sharing it Learning martial arts will surely be more fun and interesting when we understand its core and principles
  5. Wow, your article is really filled with wisdom. I am a Christian and I agree with what you said that God looks at our heart, where our motivation dwells. Martial arts is not created to revenge the attackers but rather to develop self-control and discipline in us, and to defend ourselves/others from the works of the enemy(Satan). It's important to study the Scriptures before believing a statement/judgement of people unto us. God gives His Holy Spirit for us to learn how to discern and to understand His Word. God bless us all
  6. There will be no modern martial arts without the traditional martial arts. It's the traditional one that shapes martial arts as what we know it today. It's fine to adapt something new in martial arts and have fun, but let's still value and respect what is in the past.
  7. Wow, that's cool. You must have been the most punctual student Walking is a good exercise and a warm-up for your training
  8. Nice thought, i agree with you Learning martial arts does have benefits in health and in character build-up. It's core is not fighting back or revenge, but it's about discipline and self-control.
  9. Me too. it's easy to find great fighters, but it's difficult to find someone with a faithful and humble heart.
  10. Like the 5th goal Well for me this year, I will give my best in everything I do: in work or non-work related stuffs.
  11. So young huh Enormously gifted and extremely persevering people??
  12. Totally inspiring conversation. Worth sharing
  13. Right, agree with you Each of us has his/her own gift and skills to be developed and used, regardless of the gender [/url]
