I think that my short term goal is to pass my Shodan in september. Hi all, I really like the kata 'jiin' but get very little opertunity to perform it with home practice as an exception. I really find it good for comps since not many people know of it. it is a great demonstration of power and kimae(focus). Thanx

I am a newbie to this forum but I think what Thaiboxerken just said is based on what he sees in movies or on the tele. Just because famous actors use a certain weapon does not mean that it is the best to use in a kata comp. Myself personally, I would use nunchaku. I think this because it is known by a majority of people worldwide and is a very interesting weapon. It is also very fun to watch. I have seen Sensei and Mod Tobias Reece demonstrate and I was very Impressed. THANX
