White Belt (1/10)

  1. This may seem like a strange question, but figured if anyone can help with solutions, it'd be you guys! Been training about two years, but in our dojo we have somewhat old carpet in the building. It gets replaced from time to time as it wears, but I find myself slipping and sliding too much. I think this is due to my extremely dry skin, especially on my feet. I put lotion on every day, and always right before class. This seems to soften them up briefly, and I get a little better grip. Usually at some point during class they will get sweaty and grip a little better. Don't know if I'm the only one to ever have this problem, what suggestions you guys have? A different brand/type of lotion, maybe some sort of baby oil, or how about a foot wrap of some sort? (i've seen a couple competitors at tournaments with wraps of some sort before) Thanks in advance for any good ideas!! gojudood
