hi all I used to train in manchester,in Goju-kai karate,our sensi was called mark,he was from hong kong,i don't remember his "proper" name ,the senior students were gary and anne,and we had a lively,traditional club,over the years i lost contact with the club,does anyone know if the club is still operating? or if gary or anne has their own dojo? thanks for any help given

hi there is a good shotokan club in hyde,not to far from denton,they train at hyde collage,just a few minutes from hyde centre.The contact details can be found on the KUGB website,the sensi,called paul,is very good,and has been training for over 20 years.

the shop you are thinking of was called "chung yee's" and had their own dojo next to the shop,where i used to train in goju-kai karate,the bad thing is that the small shop you went to "van dangs" is what is left of chung yee's,the same people run it,but the shop is,as you saw,much smaller hope this helps
