  2. Now, i think i know what is that stretching for.. i sparred for the first time and i lost.. i faked with a left mawashi geri, when i put it back, my leg is paining like i cant explain exaclty. i cannot move my leg. thats the dissadvantage of not having thretching before the sparring.

  5. Wow!!! Your an inspiration Bob.. I thought i was old to do karate at my age, i'm 26 and a month now when i started. i lost 5 Kg since i started training. My aim is to reach that black belt and master the technique of each kata.

  8. that's Ip man 3 (The Legend is Born).. All of the 3 parts are great. Wing Chun at its best. The fighting scene of the 1st is the best.. Specially Him fighting with 10 karate blackbelts. I wonder if it is true??
  9. Our Sensei instructed us to join the kids when they are doing the basic exercise.. But after that he would separate us from the group and start a different traning for adults, which is... i think good. nweiz, the kids are our inspiration because some of them got brown belts already.. its like a motivation to us adults to push ourselves in reaching the same level as them.
  10. Man, its like making your chest a drum.. its like non-stop bombardment with a punch. And i'am thinking now its like a fraternity with their standard operating procedure batting your legs till its swollen. Kyokushin is the ultimate test in karate.
  11. Got it guys.. Thanks. nweiz, my bro just started with me and his crying when it comes to stretching..Lol. I know his trying his best, but i think splits will do no good for him at his age. He's 33. Can he do it or not..?? Tell me what is your advice and i will pass the message to him..Lol.
  12. I guess it will be hard to gain a belt in kyukoshin, right? men, i think this karate is brutal.. but in reality, this style is more effective than the others. Is this style advisable for beginners like me? or it would be better if i join first to traditional style and switch to kyukoshin later? Im just new to karate.. I just want to know. Thanks..

  17. LOL... ok.. ok.. i'll do that. But the thing is, we are doing splits at the start of the training. just after the squat jumps and all.. lol. Xcept i will tell Sensei that he was wrong.

  21. yes!! thank you both for the advice Sensie.. Really at the end of every session i have pain on every joints of my body, and i'am thinking maybe i cannot perform the other techniques if i cannot do split and ofcourse the belt, my motivation. Is it ok if i'll do stretching everyday? or every other day instead..?
  22. Is there any techniques/keypoints or any suggestions on how to do stretching to be able to perform the split as soon as possible? Is the "split" a must for karate?
