No we dont but he teaches it to others as a legit martial art not just saying he knows moves and just makes them up. this kid may be a talented fighter but that isnt what MA is about to me that is what thugs r for i dont care if people challenge others to a fight but dont wear the belt because it doesnt mean anything if u can just fight like i said earlier a true black belt has taken his time done things right learned his stuff and tested on it. i could go to my school challenge people in a fight and if i just kept winning i wouldnt say to myself well if i am this good i should probably be a black belt because i am good at one thing...fighting
-
This kid is a streetfighter thats it he has none of the following: self control discipline humility perseverence or wisdom i have many friends that are VERY good fighters but they dont go buy black belts and challenge random people because u cant just quit then "make" your own style and be a black belt this is frowned upon by many i have talked to about this. I dont doubt he is a good fighter but that doesnt take a lot of skill but being patient enough to endure years of training to be a legit BB requires a lot of skill. another topic i am thinking that the black belts he fought probably shouldnt be black belts my sensei took six and a half years to get his BB because he wanted to be good at the things he does, he lived in japan trained under our granmaster and payed his dues he didnt just go challenge people win then call himself a black belt sounds like this kid just needs to go to the UFc to see what real fighting is

Putting McDojos out of Business
Akikazeninja replied to Infrazael's topic in Instructors and School Owners
This is how i see it there were these two people on wipeout that said they studied TKD and they were both wearing blackbelts I didnt think anything of it until i noticed their ridiculously colorul Gis and their black belts which had obviosly just been randomly awarded with because they were about as cheesy as it gets and that was on TV so it just bothers me that people see that and say wow is that what martial artists are like thats pathetic so i am not saying tkd is bad i am just saying they obviously shouldnt have been blackbelts and they probably attend a McDojo and were practically given black belts this is just a hard subject to talk about because i dont like to judge but when people give martial arts a bad name it frustrates me -
Dating in the dojo
Akikazeninja replied to Nobodysaidbella's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
I just say no because one of my friends ( a girl) was dating this guy in her dojo so when they broke up she said it was really awkward and she quit so it kinda ruined her MA for her -

Decided Not To Grade
Akikazeninja replied to nanook660's topic in Share Your Testing, Grading, or Promotion
i know i am just repeating everyone else but that is the best way to go my sensei always tells me e will not let me train until he knows I am ready and i like it better like thst because then you know that the things you learned will always be with you instead of just another colored belt -

Any signature moves?
Akikazeninja replied to JiuJitsuNation's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
pass to the dead side of a right cross and either do a modified triangle choke or pass inside of it and counter with osoto gari -
I like to watch the UFC but some parts of it really bother me like how i see a lot of posers wearing tapout shirts like they are just gonna beat the crap out of any person that gives em a wrong look, I just wish there was a little higher respect and more honor to the sport more like MA

Should children be given black belts?
Akikazeninja replied to JiuJitsuNation's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
I am not jealous of this kid but there is a kid in my dojo that is eleven and is 7th kyu I know it isnt shodan but here is my point HE CANT PERFORM HIS KATA OR MANY OF THE BLOCKS WE DO CORRECTLY i just think there should be a higher stander because I am sure we would ALL be better at what we do, so before your next test ask yourself if you could perform your test the way YOU would want it done not the way that is just enough to pass the test -
We were doing front hand springs in class and I had almost been landing them so I told my sensei to watch I did the flip landed but sprained my ankle......seriously ninja like.....not!

TKD as self defense
Akikazeninja replied to straightblast's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
I am not putting down tkd because my sensei is a black belt in it but I suggest that since you are most likely taught a lot of striking you should train in a martial art like judo or taijutsu for locks and thriws so you will reinforce your tkd training -
I am ranked 9th kyu in the jinenkan and train at the akikaze dojo and it is a somewhat private class so he teaches us about the martial art frequently and ragnorak pretty muched summed it up that there are styles within ninjutsu but I have only been doing it for about two to three months so I am not positive on some of the other comments

Hello my name is nick I am fifteen and just started training in the traditional martial art of taijutsu about two months ago, I am only 9th kyu but the rank means nothing to me the life lessons I learn and the skills I acquire are what matter. I am OBSESSED with karate and have been looking for a good MA forum with nice people and good topics.....well I found it!
