White Belt

White Belt (1/10)

  1. Adults are not interested in taking direction from Children. I enjoy training with younger students in the appropriate venue. That venue is not during an adult training session. Not many adults will comment out of respect for the instructor.
  2. Sounds good. Thanks for the feedback!
  3. "Get Wider!" (as in stance) "Bend your knees!" "Tell it to your grandkids!"
  4. Red Belt is a good movie. I have seen it a couple times now.
  5. I have one and I love it. You do need a decent sized space for it. I find it does not shake the house when I hit the bag. Everyone in my crew trains so it always felt like there was an earthquake going on. Now it's pretty quiet. I have a 100 lbs Century water bag hanging from it. I also occasionally use it for chin ups. I'm 220lbs plus the bag so it is pretty sturdy. I would recommend bolting it to the wall. If not it will move around with any decent hits on the bag. Mine is a few years old..6-8 actually. The current design is virtually the same except tubular steel is now used. Recommended!!
  6. Looking for a MA club in the Valemont BC (Canada) area. My son is moving to this area and I would like to see him continue training. So far I have found: Robson Valley Shotokan Dojo Address: Valemount Community Center Valemount, BC Chief Instructor: Glen Welsh My son's background is in basic Hapkido. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
