I'm not sure, but...isn't the Hulk going to be in Iron Man 2? I'm only thinking that because of the last scene in Hulk 2. Or is it that Iron Man will be in Hulk 3? Either way, I'll be there!

Yeah, that was a good article. Taping students while they're in class, testing, tournaments, and training is a great feedback tool for not just the students, but for the sensei as well. The extra added thing about video taping students/instructors is...one never knows when something will be recorded, and then that something can be sent into "America's Funniest Home Videos".

Whatever the reason why most gi's are primarily white throughout many karate systems is what it is...I'm just glad that the simplistic of it was created.

In the dojo? I just pick whomever I want to train with, no matter the rank, during dead-time, which are rare, to work on what I want to---students get a thrill out of it and hopefully they learn something impromptu from me outside of a formal class. Outside of the dojo? Attending seminars, as the seminars instructor and/or as a seminar attendee, and this will usually allow me to find someone to train with whenever I'm through their town. I'm very selective with this method, therefore, I'm either training with the chief instructor of said dojo or that dojo's high ranking dans [with permission from thier sensei]. -
Name this song please?

No....there's three martial artists that like that song....I love it...it's very beautiful! -
Anderson Silva's latest actions speak negative about him and casts a negative light onto MMA, particularly the UFC. Silva remains uneffected by his disrespectful actions, and imho, Silva needs to be more respectful towards the MMA sport, other MMA fighters, Dana White/UFC, MMA fans, and the martial arts. Martial arts teach the tenents: Seek perfection of character, be faithful, endeavor, respect others, and refrain from violent behavior. It's these tenets that seem to be void from Silva, and in that, his misapplied actions are taking a lot away from any positive thing that he's done in the octagon, especially his fighting skills. That's what's so important...getting it in the end, versus never getting it at all. Sometimes, 'it' takes me a little longer than others, but, when I finally get 'it'...AHA!

In Shindokan, our blue is after green. Why? The Blue Sky is ABOVE the solid Green Earth.

The silent kiai...very effective!
-
Just kiai, but kiai effectively! Bruce Lee's on-screen kiai was unique, to say the least. Watch [listEN] to this clip... Yet, was his on-screen kiai action effective? Did his on-screen kiai provide protection to his abdominal muscles? Did his on-screen kiai provide any protection for his upper/lower body? Did his on-screen kiai involve the abdominal muscles and diaphragm? Was his on-screen kiai sounded merely from his throat? EDIT: To add Bruce Lee clip!

The martial arts will make you an ambidextrous, unless you're handicapped in some way! You can favor to use only the right side or only the left side as a personal preference. If you've no handicap or some type of a medical issue, then favoring one side over another is risky. How so? Let's say you favor your left side for every waza. Let's now say that you've been injuried in a fight which prohibits you from using your left side. How are you going to effectively defended yourself with your unfavored and rarely used and rather unchallenged and unprepared right side? Albeit, it won't be impossible, but, it'll be very difficult! Nonetheless, each practitioner, for one reason or another, favors one side over another. A right handed practitioner might tend to use their right side more than the left side because using the right side feels more natural across the board, and vice versa. Example of favoring one side over another side successfully would be Bill "Superfoot" Wallace. http://superfoot.com/?page_id=2 Due to an injury he received to his right knee while doing Judo, thus he switched to karate, and in that, he kicks primarily with his left leg. His kicks with his left leg have been clocked at around 60 miles per hour. His injured right leg serves as his primary base. Providing there's nothing medically prohibiting the use of both sides. In that, there's nothing wrong with favoring one side over another, just as long as both sides are equally effective once called upon, imho.
