coltmakai
I know this is similar to other threads but i have an important question. I have been thinking of using workout music. three60roundhouse
We almost never use music in class, except when we do a "cardio kickbox" like workout (very rarely my instructor goes on a fitness rampage). The kids use electronica music in class when they play "musical pads" or other games at the end of class. My thread on "The ULTIMATE workout songs" was meant for my use when I practice my form, my technique, running, stationary bike, at home. Some schools incorporate music much more into the curriculum. 1st dan Tae Kwon DoYellow Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu16 Years OldGirls kick butt! shaolinprincess
We don't use music, but if your style alows it, I guess use it for a cardio workout. It's what you put into it...1st kyu-Okinawa Shorin Ryu Matsumura Seito Federation
LeaF
yea we don't use music at all with the exception of tai chi classes. We have nice slow oriental music in the back ground (along with some incense) to help create an atmosphere appropreate for meditation. I like listening to music when I work out Goju Ryu Karate-do and Okinawan Kobudo, 17 Years Old 1st kyu Brown Belt in in Goju Ryu Karate-do, & Shodan in Okinawan KobudoGiven enough time, any man may master the physical. G95champ
We don't use it in class either. I do it when doing bag work at home or lifting weights. (General George S. Bretty101
We use it in our squad and circuit training sessions. In squad training it helps you build adrenaline and timing, circuit training again it helps with timing and takes your mind off the pain. I also listen to some up beat angry music when i'm in the gym. It helps me squeeze out the extra reps. We don't have msic in our traditional classes tho.
