Ok, Just all of a sudden I started stretching to try to be able to do the splits, Every mourning and night I've been doing the stretch for 30 seconds, but am thinking of bringing it up to a minute or more. Does this sound like a good plan?

Currently not attending any class.

Check out this page that holds a bunch of threads on doing "splits" ... :bigwink: my fav subject!

What you are referring to is static tretching which is a full range of motion stretching of joints without emphasis on speed of movement. It involves holding a stretch for 10-60 sec.s by finishing your workout woth this stretch you will alleviate the delayed onset of muscle soreness.

Checkout this thread for the importance of warming up prior to stretching.

It takes sacrifice to be the best.

There are always two choices, two paths to take. One is easy. And its only reward is that it's easy.
