i think they specialize in mostly open tournament cane kata. not the way I would use the cane for SD.

however, they do make an EXCELLENT cane.

I'm no longer posting here. Adios.

How does the Cane Masters system differ from your own system?

After a bit more thought canemasters has several different types of training they offer. The do some work more senior oriented programs complete with resistance band training.

The day I smack someone with my canemasters can they will certainly know the difference between that and a store cane. And I can tell the difference when I handle that cane as compared to a store cane in terms of the gripping surfaces and the smooth surface.

Does anyone belong to this org? Has anyone ever seen it done?

http://www.canemasters.com

I was a member for a while and I own the complete set of videos. The material isn't too bad, most of which I had already learned from other systems prior to getting the videos. The kata material does focus on sport based kata movements but they alllow you to create your own for testing should you be interested in obtaining rank with them.

Hope this helps,

Steve

Thanks Steve. It sounds like you have done other cane systems, could you suggest another perhaps, with more of a SD focus?
