the iron plam is an external art which is unlikly to dealt internal injuries, unless hitted on the weak part of the human body.

its the "jing fa"(way of executing strenght) that does the internal damage.

jing fa is very common in traditional chinese art,

almost every style has such internal skill.

Qoo -_-

The "fa" or "explosive" jing is one type of energetic expression; but is not neccessairily internal, and will not neccessairily do internal damage. Further, there are many internal Iron Palm and Iron body execrises.

But the question is like saying "I heard TKDists can kick you inthe head".

ROFLMAO. I like that last part Jerry. "I heard TKDists can kick you in the head." I'll remember that one.

Don't forget to nominate in the Karateforums.com awards for 2003. (Just thought I'd plug that here.)

i thought it was fa jing.

and i thought it wasn't iron palms that dealt with internal damage, i thought it was poison palms. maybe its the same thing. i don't know very much.

but yeah. good stuff.

Any "iron" qigong is built around the building of resilliance in the body. This can be done both externally (hitting something a lot) or internally.

"poison hand" is a technique / classification of hits; "iron palm" is a grouping of ways to harden your hands / increase their power.
