TicN9neZ8
Well I was just taught 12 of these and they are pretty nifty, they are from when someone is grabbing your wrist, some of them we're pretty vicious. Anyone else been taught these? A couple of them we're armbars, others we're single or double strikes. Visit my new message boards! JESSEK16
There are a lot of different defenses other that the wrist. There are defenses from the shoulder, elbow, hair, front of the collar, back of the collar, and bear hugs. Just to name a few. And you are right the defenses are pretty vicious. I am a first degree black belt in Hapkido and I love it . Everyone of the defenses is pretty much designed to break a bone . It is a great style and my school is great because the Grandmaster is a student of Young Sol Choi and Ji Han Jae. TicN9neZ8
thats cool, my main style is TKD, but our masters have also trained in Hapkido and they incorporate the defensive techniques into our training. We just learned some handshake reversals, those are brutal. Visit my new message boards! We need more members for the Martial Arts board, first that come will most likely mod the board. Marc V
yep. I also trained the 12 techniques (12 basic circeling techniques). All 12 start with grabbing your wrist, but most of them can be transferred to any type of attack
SBN Doug
I think I'm up to about 31 when grabbed by the same side hand, and another 10 when grabbed by the opposite hand. They are split up into seperate sets, taught at different stages of our training. Of course, they're mixed in with sets of all the other defensive techniques mentioned earlier.
