hajime Posted October 26, 2003 Posted October 26, 2003 LOTT The Tower Towers was excellent. I want to live there and kill orcs! Can I get a visa to Middle Earth? I can believe in magic and orcs and stuff but the Matrix part 2 & 3. come on that's just silly! 700 hours of official training. Injury finished me dammit!1st Kyu Wado Ryu
The Saint Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 The Matrix 3-the stunts are a bit unrealistic however, if you've followed it since the first one it was meant to be a 3 series film. "Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to go to his class." Choi, Hong Hi ITF Founder
Drunken Monkey Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 i still say that the ruined it by making more than one film. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
hajime Posted October 29, 2003 Posted October 29, 2003 I agree with a Drunken Monkey I must be mad matrix 1 was brilliant 2 one hmmm got silly. some great stunts yes but I didn't believe in the story anymore. 700 hours of official training. Injury finished me dammit!1st Kyu Wado Ryu
battousai16 Posted October 30, 2003 Posted October 30, 2003 yeah. i'm with you guys. and, quite frankly, there's absolutely no reason to make me look at keanu reeves butt "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai
PrideampPoise Posted October 31, 2003 Posted October 31, 2003 I definitely agree with this:there's absolutely no reason to make me look at keanu reeves butt (though honestly, I was trying to focus on Carrie-Anne so Keanu's bum didn't bother me too much.) I don't really agree that sequels ruin the originals though. When the sequels really stink, like with Ghostbusters 2, or Caddyshack 2, they can just be ignored. The original is still just as strong. I thought Reloaded did a pretty good job, though. Yes, there was an obvious intent to get more action into the movie, like with many sequels. But they still tried to deal with the themes, like "choice". No, as a standalone I wouldn't say its as good as the first, but still a pretty good effort, and better than most sequels.
