Valithor Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 I got up to 10. (But I started counting at 7) Keep Smiling!
monkeygirl Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 If I wasn't sick, I'd time myself and tell you 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard.
shotochem Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 I would rather give 1 good full hard jab than 3 or 4 little ones. If you can do 3 why not follow through on #1 and make it hurt. When you keep reloading to throw the next 1 or 2 there is no penetration, thus much less power. IMO that kind of technique will distract or probably irritate who ever you may try it on. I do not see it as practical for anything other than show. With that kind of quickness just nail it on the first one. Pain is only temporary, the memory of that pain lasts a lifetime.
Sasori_Te Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 I'm having to agree with shotochem here. A quick jab for a fake or set-up is okay, but why would you ever want to do jabs like the ones your talking about? Use that energy for a good penetration shot. A block is a strike is a lock is a throw.
karatekid1975 Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 I agree with shotochem, also. Laurie F
Cyph Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 Don't know, I can do a double jab which probably takes a second... but I am not that fast.
AnonymousCoward Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 You might do this for a straight blast - you would be covering distance to get within their guard whilst distracting with rapid punches.
Sasori_Te Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 Anonymous Coward I'll play scenario with you. Now while you're closing your distance throwing quick lead hand jabs, I'll be losing my foot in your floating ribs which are now exposed because of your jabs. That's an extremely novice idea. A novice is about the only person it will work on. I don't mean to sound harsh. Sorry. A block is a strike is a lock is a throw.
