The Death Touch

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever really become involved with the theories and teachings of Dim Mak? My old instructor could do the most amazing things with this technique.

Ive heard many people say that the Dim Mak is not real, but I wonder how many of them have actually studied its depth and tried to understand?

I travelled to China in the early 80's and was very interested in this sort of thing and how(and if) your chi could be used as a weapon. I was introduced to many instructors(the language barrier was a bit hard to overcome and I eventually had to enlist the services of a translator).

After speaking to many instructors the same name kept coming up time and time again. The only problem was that this supposed chi master lived in the mountains and China is not at all like the U.S., this man was going to be very hard to access.

After telling myself that I had spent all this money to travel around the entire world I owed it to myself to at least ATTEMPT to find this man and see if what people were telling me was for real.

I enlisted a guide and was taken on a pretty harsh journey. Back then I wasn't the "outdoors" type and we had to spend 2 nights outside in pretty flimsy shelter. That may not sound terrible to some of you, but to ME it was pretty awful and cold. On top of that, my guide(and ironically TRANSLATOR) was having a difficult time undertanding me and kept leaving and bringing back rotten fruit, under the assumption that I was "hungry" when all I was doing was asking him how much longer it was. If I didnt accept the fruit he became angry and threw the fruit to the floor and all I could think about was that if he got

REALLY mad and LEFT ME I would be DEAD here, lol. Funny to me NOW, but certainly not at the time.

Well on the start of the third day we come upon a small farm nestled in between the mountains. The first thing I thought was that I would never be able to survive in such isolation, but these people had a small farm and their cottage seemed to be well taken care of. Still, I had heard that China's winters could be TERRIBLE and I couldnt see myself doing very well so far from civilization and in such extremem cold. This was spring and it was STILL cold at night.

The first person I saw was a young boy who wa sapparently trying to wrestle a goat to the ground, lol. My guide hailed him and he looked VERY scared before running inside and yelling for someone. Well, out of the doorway came an old man who would eventually open my eyes to the most amazing experience of my martial arts career.

I actually dont have time to finish this post yet(I'm at work) but in case anyone is interested in hearing the rest I'll come back and finish the story for you.

Great site by the way!
