tommarker Posted November 21, 2003 Posted November 21, 2003 Jussi, You know that Rob's site is just his opinions, and not neccesarily the New Testament of Shotokan I'm no longer posting here. Adios.
Jussi Häkkinen Posted November 21, 2003 Posted November 21, 2003 Yes, I know. However, he just says aloud the stuff that many of us do think. His ideas about "karate for lifetime" do hit the nail. Jussi HäkkinenOkinawan Shorin-Ryu Seibukan Karate-Do (Kyan Chotoku lineage)TurkuFinland
aefibird Posted November 21, 2003 Posted November 21, 2003 I got it as a permanent reminder that karate is a life-long pursuit. I think that you should read this: http://www.24fightingchickens.com/mu/lifetime/index.html Rob, again, hits the nail with that text. Read it, swallow the recoil it will cause in you, and read it again. I already read it...BEFORE I got my tattoo! I know that, realistically, I'll not be able to continue training for all my life, but karate is an important part of my life and my tattoo sybolises that. That's all, really. I'll shut up now, 'cos I don't wanna get into an argument "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." The Beautiful South - The Rose of My CologneSheffield Steelers!
theswarm Posted November 24, 2003 Posted November 24, 2003 what you need is a tat that says 'karate 4 lyfe!!'
aefibird Posted November 24, 2003 Posted November 24, 2003 what you need is a tat that says 'karate 4 lyfe!!' I'd be running out of arm space if I had that done as well!! lol My next tattoo isn't martial arts related at all (been there, done that, heh heh). "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." The Beautiful South - The Rose of My CologneSheffield Steelers!
aefibird Posted November 24, 2003 Posted November 24, 2003 D'oh! I said I wasn't going to say any more about this topic! I wish I'd learn to keep my mouth shut sometimes... "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." The Beautiful South - The Rose of My CologneSheffield Steelers!
Breakdancer Posted November 25, 2003 Posted November 25, 2003 that gave me a good idea, i should get a big tatoo on my back has the wu tan school symbol of learning, that'd be cool, in the locker room i'd take of my shirt and have this tuff tatoo on my back everyone will be like whoa that guy is a mean foo
Drunken Monkey Posted November 25, 2003 Posted November 25, 2003 why the wu tang symbol cos as far as i can tell, you're not learning wu tang style... or perhaps you've changed your mind again? post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
theswarm Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 lol everyone would think you were wearing one of those skin colour wutang jackets
