CheekyMusician Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 Is it customary to have your style of Martial Arts tattooed on the inside of your wrist? Uh...no. Smile. It makes people wonder what you've been up to.
Kyle-san Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 No. That'd sure make it difficult for people who cross-train in other styles, eh?
SaiFightsMS Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 It was a fairly good question. I certain areas martial arts tattoos may be popular but it is not a universal practice.
Pacificshore Posted September 22, 2003 Posted September 22, 2003 nothing wrong with a tattoo, but if it pretains to martial arts, have it done somewhere it's not readily noticed....why spoil the element of surprise . Di'DaDeeeee!!!Mind of Mencia
Yet another TKD guy Posted September 22, 2003 Posted September 22, 2003 Definitely not a general martial arts custom. In fact I dont think its anyones custom. Besides, I do 2 or 3 styles. AKA Os3y3ris/Osiris
WhiteShark Posted September 22, 2003 Posted September 22, 2003 Muay Thai fighters often have tattoos the most comon is a tiger or leopard on the upper arm/deltoid area. My old instructor also used to have a buddist prayer of strength and protection tattooed on his neck. Rock Paper ScissorPunch Knee Kick^ME^ ^MY DOJO^
