now bare with me, because i've never trained with a makiwara board before, but at that point couldn't you just hit the wall?

Good way to toughen your fists. Also improves focus. I have limited space. But I didn't need much with the the one I use. Its 11in x 6in x 2In it is lighty padded so it leaves some skin. It has slots cut into it so it does give a little. It was recommended to me guy Kiyota Co. Baltimore.Md. Mount it on something solid. And make sure you don't have pictures on the other side. Start of with light focus punches. After just a couple of months you will fill a big difference. Punch on.

Up to you mate :wink: . Don't train too much you be end up hurting youself more ok have a nice time :roll: .

I am still training however, having dabbled in Shotokan and Shotokai Karate. I am please to report that Kenshukai is one of the strongest and most disciplined styles ( i did not write this)

Make sure it gives a little If I'm not mistaken, if there's no give then all the shock will go straight back up your arm. Keep doing it and you'll damage your joints etc

just make your own

 

get a strong piece of wood and wrap it in rope !
