Darce Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 Mine is biting my toenails. Shukokai Karate, Orange belt ( 7. kyu)
Akima Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 my feet need to be perfect....that's a lot of trips and $$$$ at the spa for me.
alanseijas Posted September 30, 2003 Posted September 30, 2003 I have many. Driving fast (real fast!), Vodka (not while driving, though!), money (can't get enough), spaghetti with meat sauce (MMMMMM), blonde haired girls (I'll leave the comment out here), Heavy Metal music played way to loud (jammin'!), burn outs with lots of smoke, sitting in my stretch rack at 188 degrees, model rocketry, and learning the Japanese language. Don't blame me, you asked! The patch or crest worn by Isshinryu karateka often raises admiration and curiosity. The patch is based on a day dream Tatsuo Shimabuku had in the fifties while he was creating his karate style. This dream was the missing piece in the puzzle called Isshinryu. The patch is often incorrectly called Mizu Gami, which means 'water goddess'. Originally the Isshinryu emblem was called 'Isshinryu No Megami', which means 'Goddess of Isshinryu'. The goddess is the Goddess of Isshinryu karate and not the goddess of water.
