Prodigy-Child Posted October 14, 2001 Posted October 14, 2001 how do you people feel about the scoring system in olympic boxing? i tend to like olympic boxing more then regular pro boxing because olympic boxing tends to be alot cleaner and alot more technically oriented the mere fact that they have to score more points rather then looking more aggressive appeals to me because that makes alot more clean hits coming outta there what do you think? You can boo me if you want, You know I'm right!-Chris Rock
kicker Posted October 14, 2001 Posted October 14, 2001 ya i agree with you i hate those fights that aren`t clean and the judges mark if wrong point or like 10 -9 ( sometimes for the wrong person!! when you do your best it`s going to show. "If you watch the pros, You will learn something new"
boxer Posted October 26, 2001 Posted October 26, 2001 I fought with that system, and it is extremely unfair to a heavy jabber like myself. They only score heavy shots, so if I throw a double jab with a right hand, only the right would score---and even then (3) judges have to hit the button simultaneously.
MasterP Posted February 11, 2002 Posted February 11, 2002 well it makes it a much faster competition, speed becomes the essence instead of power & agression.
