zelgadis-3878 Posted September 15, 2003 Share Posted September 15, 2003 at my old martail arts school it was white 10st kyu yellow 9ed kyu orange 8rd kyu green 7th kyu purpule 6th kyu blue 5th kyu red 4th kyu advacted red 3rd kyu brown 2ed kyu advaced brown 1st kyu black 1st dan then so on with the dan rankings but i have a new school 4 i just swicthed styles but i just started there so i cant tell you what they use yet. i walk the path of the warrior not only to yeild to my hunger of battle nor to protact myself are the ones around me. but to honer those that spent there life making a style are defending a nation with said style ^_^ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Terriator Posted September 16, 2003 Share Posted September 16, 2003 In denmark JKA shotokan the colors are: 10th kyu - White 9th kyu - Yellow 8th kyu - Orange 7th kyu - Red 6th kyu - Green 5th kyu - Blue 4th kyu - purple 3rd kyu - brown 2nd kyu - brown 1st kyu - brown 1st dan - black 2nd dan - black.....and so on up to 10th dan. Never think that Karate is practiced only in The Dojo.
