shotochem Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Nirvana, one of my favorite bands of all time. Kurt Korbain in essence was my generations John Lennon and todays Tu Pac. We related to the music and the times. His music represented the the silent angry white male majority and frustrated youth at that time. It makes me wonder if he were still alive what music would he write today??? Lets also not forget Alice N Chains!!!! Lane Stanley another tragic loss and waste of life. Same type of music, different bands, same sad ending. The story is always the same... Jim Morrison, Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Alliah, Biggie Smalls, Jam Master J, and many others. Its just a shame. Pain is only temporary, the memory of that pain lasts a lifetime.
Kung Fu Hamster Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 that's my opinion of them. my neighbor and i used to listen to them in his room. i remember when kurt cobain died, he built a hug shrine to him that took up his entire wall. To me that is really kind of sad...i think he kept it up until he ended up moving. i think that was the first encounter i ever had with a person who viewed kurt cobain as the reincarnation of jesus. come to think about it he does remind alot of Jesus. Hehe. Like that Nickleback singer. I think Nirvana are ok but not excactly great. People only worship him because he's dead if you know what I mean. Like Bruce Lee was loved even more (us included) when he died. Everybodies Going Kung Fu Fighting! Yah Hoocha! LMAO
ZR440 Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Man, I wish SRV, Randy Rhoads, and John Bonham were still around. It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
battousai16 Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 "Like that Nickleback singer.
