It is a KI/CHI in the fact that it requires proper breathing, stance and movment in a flow from your feet to your knees to your hips to your shoulder to your elow to your fist. The training I take refers to it as a wave form. Once you get good you can use other weapons such as your elbow, palm, forearm and generate alot of power.

Short distance power (fa-jing) is a matter of mechanics. It ranges between "immedately obvious" and "takes a little practice" to lern. Some backgrounds come to it more naturally than others.

 

Put your hand on someone and try to give them a quick "shove" (as opposed to a slower push) without taking your hand off first... That's the basic energy.

much of the "one inch punch" is about training and how you train.

 

it isn't some invincible killer move that will win fights for you.

post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are.
