Warp Spider Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Yes, my normal carry is from 1 to 3 knives and a sidearm; though it's situationally effected and you may manage to catch me unarmed as well. Are you cop or do you live in the hood or something? I think carrying weapons is a smart thing to do. You don't have to be a cop or live in a dangerous neighborhood to be attacked. Paladin - A holy beat down in the name of God!
Treebranch Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 I'd be really careful of what type of weapons you carry around. You don't want appear to be a nut. tommarker Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 No offense, but screw that. If I am legally allowed to carry a concealed firearm, I will. I could really give less than half a * what the 'million mom march' folks think. They'll never know it's there. In most places, the laws are restrictive enough to begin worrying about what some paranoid blissninny is scared of. Yes, THEY are the paranoid one. I'm no longer posting here. Adios.
wrestlingkaratechamp Posted September 10, 2003 Posted September 10, 2003 Weapons are a way of self defense
Martial_Artist Posted September 10, 2003 Posted September 10, 2003 Million Mom March....lol...I just remembered that one of their leaders tried to shoot the son of someone else in their organization a while back.... Ben Posted September 10, 2003 Posted September 10, 2003 I use nunchaku's and staff, and i'm trying to find any other "weapon" i can use in order to build co-ordination, wrist flexibility and strength, and most of all awareness. when i start going heavy with nunchaku's, i dont even think these days it just happens, although occasionally i mess up and start rolling on the floor screaming for a while screaming about having no movement in my elbow. as for staff, i'm a firespinner so i just use a four and a half foot heavy staff purely for spinning. i dont just do this to get into shape, i also make up my own forms etc and find it genuinly relaxing. i cant really explain why i train so much with weapons... i quite simply think its essential for me at the moment to build on many things, and its something i find relaxing and enjoyable. and in a street fight - i know someone that once used their watch to scratch someone in the eye. kill or be killed as they say - no rules.
battousai16 Posted September 11, 2003 Posted September 11, 2003 "I'd be really careful of what type of weapons you carry around. You don't want appear to be a nut." with all said, i think mr. love (i love saying that) has proven time and time again that he's intelligent enough to know what weapons he should and shouldn't carry, and has a smart enough mouth to give a major head ache to who ever gives him #@!% about carrying weapons "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai
JerryLove Posted September 11, 2003 Posted September 11, 2003 LOL I thank your for the confidence I have all the appropriate permits, I'm less armed than some I know, and I'm really not a "nut" https://www.clearsilat.com
sano Posted September 11, 2003 Posted September 11, 2003 weapon are for cowards. he who lives by sword dye by sword. My hands are my weapons. falcon kick!!!
Martial_Artist Posted September 11, 2003 Posted September 11, 2003 ok. Since the gun is not an option. My choice would have to be either a fixed blade knife or a sword, either short or long. Since I have all of the above, what I would use would depend on my mood.
