tufrthanu Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 Does anyone out there happen to know if there are any Tang Soo Do or Hapkido schools or schools that teach either of those in the SW or W suburbs of the Twin Cities of Minnesota? Long Live the Fighters!
tommarker Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 http://www.wtsda.com/regions/index.asp?region=3 i'm not sure how close any of the MN schools are to your area. I'm no longer posting here. Adios.
Blue Posted August 30, 2003 Posted August 30, 2003 I cant help you with anything close to Minnetonka, but if you want to train with a Grandmaster, check this school out: http://www.songmookwan.com/natfsite/index.html Song Moo Kwan is one of the original founding Kwans of Tae Kwon Do. Grand Master Ro is Supreme Grand Master Ro's son. The founder of Song Moo Kwan. Grand Master Ro still teaches at the school and offers classes in Hapkido three times a week. A little more info about him: http://www.songmookwan.com/songsite/songhist.html Here's another place you may want to check. A nationally reknowned martial arts school in Minnesota of all places. The real deal. http://www.mnkali.com/html/about_arts.php Sorry no Hapkido though.

niel0092 Posted September 9, 2003 Posted September 9, 2003 try this one: http://www.wonkikwan.com/ It's a very small school and the instructor is from korea. His english isn't the best but his senior students help make sure you understand. I really liked it but found it to be a bit pricey. I think that this is his only job though so it may explain the pricing. He gave me a demonstration after my free lesson and talked to me about what I wanted out of hapkido. The students were very friendly and quite helpfull too. "Jita Kyoei" Mutual Benefit and Welfare
tufrthanu Posted September 10, 2003 Author Posted September 10, 2003 How pricey? Long Live the Fighters!
niel0092 Posted September 10, 2003 Posted September 10, 2003 If I remember right it was a sliding scale depending on how many months you paid for. It was around $100 a month for one month at a time and down to $80-$85 per month for the whole year. I think they also charge for promotion tests. "Jita Kyoei" Mutual Benefit and Welfare
