what are the differcene in tkd katas

ok i do a differnt kind of katas than taegueks? and they say its the old style. and i dont know whats kind of katas they are and im almost a brown belt hey the are

 

chungji

 

dan goon

 

toson

 

wahnyo

 

yoguk

 

chung goon

 

toigye

 

warrong?

 

chungmu

 

please help me i would like to know!

When I did American TAO karate in college (a made up style) we did Chungji and Toigye but we did others as well. My teacher had 3 differant black belts on in TKD one in Hapikido and one in Chin Na Kung Fu. He picked the kata he liked and put them into his style. But I really dont know much about them.

Those are ITF Forms. the WTF uses the TaeGueks...the old WTF TKD forms were the Palgwe forms...

Actually those aren't really ITF forms. The are from the Chang Hon school of Hyung. We do some of the same forms in American Tae Kwon Do only we don't bounce.[/img]
