sano Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 yep i fought that guy with no style two weeks ago we both say it is a draw. but we both toke something home my two knuckles are even bigger and i almost broke his nose . alright cause i cheated i told him no punching to the face but i did anyway. he does not do to many fancy moves anymore he disables you. like i was punching him and he kept driving his elbows into my punches which stop me from punching and he kept driving his knees and elbows into my kicks which i never seen any fighter do before. i will tell you guys how he doe's in the full contact tournament i hope he lose. NOW HOW RULEZ!!! falcon kick!!!
Kumite988 Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 Ummm, ooook. Uhh good job on the fight I guess....uhh you pulled a cheapshot though. I don't see the point of this thread...

Bdaze Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 oh man, driving elbows and knees into strikes is so annoying. My brother does it to me all the time. it totally stops you. you have to wairt till you regain feeling in your hands. also quick strikes to the wrist joint have the same effect. a freind of mine told me his Brother won a bar fight by telling a guy to hit him right in the face "ill give you the first punch, come on tough guy" etc. then when he did punch, my freinds Bro put his head down so the guy punched his cranium (which is extrmely hard) and while the guy was shaking his hand in pain (like pumching a wall.... only covered in hair) he whooped him like it was the sixties all over again sort of the same concept. punching bone full force hurts. G95champ Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 Block as strikes. Im a big fan of that. Nothing worse that punching a guy in the elbow. OUCH... We do a bit of that in Shotokan although we usually just block hard. Nothing to be proud of in breaking the rules. Accidents do happen but to do it on purpose is very dishonorable. As far as style we are all human and out bodies only bend and move so many ways so to say one style is better or worse IMO don't make much sense because the all teach how to kick and punch and blocks so take that for what its worth. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
Warp Spider Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 Dahahaha, that'll teach 'em to follow rules. Remember, history remembers the winners, the fact that they cheated is only a footnote. Paladin - A holy beat down in the name of God!
shotochem Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 Block as strikes. Im a big fan of that. Nothing worse that punching a guy in the elbow. OUCH... I disagree. The only thing worse than punching a guy in the elbow is.... KICKING him in the elbow!!!! The last time I did that I was limping for a week. Pain is only temporary, the memory of that pain lasts a lifetime.
Ben Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 hmm... punching elbows *is* good in theory... me and a friend were practising it a while back just to see if it would work, then last week we were just sorta sparring. i thought i'd block a gentle elbow near the face with a punch... my thumb twisted around and broke. so i'm steering clear of this method for a while
sano Posted August 27, 2003 Author Posted August 27, 2003 thanks guys. yeah i was at a full contact torney and i kept throwing mid round kicks and the guy lifted his knee. i was limping for two weeks. your right warp spider people remember the winners not losers and if you have to cheat to win go for it. aha haha ha. falcon kick!!!
