wrestlingkaratechamp Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 Has anyone ever heard of this documentary called Bumfights? A group of teenagers video tapped a bunch of Homeless people fighting and doing stunts. I own the video and I have watched it 23 times. It has been causing alot of comotion in legal bussiness because civil rights activist started getting mad. I think that it was SHOCKING when I first seen it. What are you thoughts? Have you seen it?
ZR440 Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 Seen previews. It's * to the extreme. Doesn't say much for the society we live in. It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
kle1n Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 i like jack * because people are fully aware of what they are willing to do. but making a poor homeless guy do stunts because he is desperate for the money is sick to my opinion. Be everything. Be nothing.
Northren Ogre Posted August 27, 2003 Posted August 27, 2003 1 of their "Bumfight champs" isa veitnam vet. One named Donald Brennan, or Donny the Vet in the Bumfight movie,a member of the 1st Air Calvary (See the movie We Were Soldiers for significance of his unit). He was awarded a Purple Heart and the Silver Star after being wounded twice in a 13 month tour in Vietnam. Another "star" of Bumfights is Rufus Hannah, or Rufus the Stuntbum, aslo served his country and was honourably discharged from thew US army in 1982 after sustaining injuries. I think it is sick and deplorable to see those who have served their nation treated in such a manor. Silver Stars aren't exactly easy to come by. http://prkickboxing.tripod.com
