JerryLove
That doesn't appear to interact with any posts. What is "mind over matter" and how is that "willpower"? https://www.clearsilat.com
jeffrogers
actually better post Jerrylove is to find out what the posters defintion of Ki is and to give him a physical example so you can see what he means. As in the book essence of White Crane By Dr. Jwing ming Jing (sp?) he talked about diffrent Jin and diffrent ki. and how its expressed so someones defintion can be diffrent then yours. But for some reason we all call it ki even though others might not think of it same thing. -Jeff

When someone expresses in an explosive or sudden manner (for example), it's "fajing" (explosive expression). https://www.clearsilat.com

MawashiGeri60
in my opinion i think chi power is withing all of us . come on u have seen it with the chinnese monks . have u seen there physical strength wow it is amazing and it all comes from . there chi power . which consist of alot of meditation and training . the center of our power is at the bottom of our bellly bottoms . thas why i consider sanchin kata a good kata for all of us to practice if u want to release that power . because we breath from there and not from the lungs . chi power is strong which people cannot get there hands on but i think the majority will like to . but nobody has the patients it takes time !!!! Xerxes
The ki in karate is a gutteral explosion (yell from the stomach) of power while your body contracts. End of story. There is no magical mumbo jumbo to it. You release more power from your body when you release your air in your lungs and your body contracts and more power is in your punch. turonaga
ki is located at the seika no itten or the tandem. capable of infinite contraction and expansion can only be controlled but not contained by the mind. do you have to analyze all things? go back and practice! why did we surrender lord? markusan
ki is located at the seika no itten or the tandem. capable of infinite contraction and expansion can only be controlled but not contained by the mind. do you have to analyze all things? go back and practice! There is a lot of wisdom in turonaga's post. What will constrain your ki or disperse it is mental distractions and wrong thinking. Less thinking, more training, thats the key/ki.
