I say go for it. You are more likely to regret not doing something than doing it.

I'd say go for it, just don't come on too strong, make it clear that if she doesn't want to date you would be willing to be just friends because it is always great to have a training partner. If you do end up in a relationship and it ends, try to make sure it ends on good terms, you'll have to be able to face someone who trains at the same dojo as you. I am in pretty much the same situation, but I'm thinking of making it just a friendship because she lives about 45 minutes from me and on top of that I am working, lifting weights, and going to college along with going to Martial Arts 3-4 times a week.

Where do people normally meet there mates or dating partners? Usually where they spend the most time whether it be work, school, dojos, etc. I have a daughter who is 18 and she has been dating a guy from the dojo for over a year and a half. They keep it separate. It is working. I know alot of husband/wifes from the dojo.

Just because you date a few times does not mean you are getting married. Give it a shot before you both go off to college.

Good luck!
