OldRookie Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 Jackie's new flick opens Friday, are you going or not?....... It looks kind'a cheesey in the trailer with lots of wire work & CG......Ahhhh, I'll probably go- *1st Dan Oct 2004*"Progress lies not enhancing what is, but in advancing toward what will be.""It is better to deserve honors and not have them than to have them and not deserve them."
benedictbm Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 yea i think it looks a little cheezy myself but ill prolly end of up seeing it too.
Karateka_latino Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 I don't know.. I don't like U.S. Jackie movies too much (wire work, CGI) i mean, that's NOT a "Jackie Chan movie", that's just another adventure movie with Jackie Chan on it. I stick with his older movies from the 70's, 80's and early 90's.
Sens55 Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 I like watch his stuff. Even if there is a lot of wire work, his ability to match humor (American humor no less) with his movies makes them fun to watch.
Drunken Monkey Posted August 22, 2003 Posted August 22, 2003 police story probably one of the best martial arts film ever. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
wrestlingkaratechamp Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 For some reason Jet li's movies are better and more 3 dimentional then Jackie chan's. Just look at HORRIBLE rumble in the bronz! I can't think of any jet li movie that bad. Ok lets think about Chan's best movie......Rush hour 2? Ok thats the only good one I can think of. Now Li's........Kiss of the dragon,Cradle to the Grave,Romeo Must Die and The One. Jet Li is much better than Jackie who by the way is becoming a comedian.
battousai16 Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 well, in MY opinion, jackie chan's best movie is probably one of the drunken master ones, i'd say the first. in response to jet li, the one and romeo must die were god awful movies. it was all i could do to sit through them. jet li didn't even do anything especially cool in the RMD. i never saw cradle 2 the grave, maybe i'll pick it up next time i go to family video. kiss of the dragon was far from a good movie, though i'll give you that jet li did cool stuff in it. you talk about jet li's movies being so much better, and yet you don't even mention once upon a time in china? hmmm... "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai
aznkarateboi Posted August 24, 2003 Posted August 24, 2003 ROMEO MUST DIE WAS THE BEST MOVIE!!! I WATCHED IT NO LESS THAN 20 TIMES!!!

Kumite988 Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 Romeo Must Die is WAAY better than Cradle 2 The Grave. So if you hated RMD you'll despise C2TD. They only good part in C2TD is when Jet takes on like 30 UFC fighters A real stupid part is when Jet and DMX are going back to some car when these dogs start chasing them and DMX does a wall flip for no reason. LOL you have to see that part to understand what I mean. Its probably jet's worst movie as there is NO ABSOLUTELY NO character development. And Jet for some reason doesn't have that many lines.
