YoungGrasshopper Posted August 18, 2003 Posted August 18, 2003 Just wondering, what was the name of the religion Ninjas followed in Fuedal Japan? Or did they not have a religion? I know they make hand positions and stuff to "unlock your inner ki" or boost of your confidence, which I think is pretty interesting. So if anyone knows a site they can post here that would help please do so!
DarkClyde Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 I read that the old religion for the ninja was Mikkyo. It was some secret religion from China or Tibet I think. The Ninja had more a philosophy then a religion. They could have had religions as far as being people of a certain background in a certain area but as far as their religion forming their training is unlikely. You can be a drug dealer and go to Church every sunday. But you don't deal drugs in the name of the Lord. So it was more a philosophy of constant training. "It's quite interesting..."
KaratekaAikidoist Posted October 13, 2003 Posted October 13, 2003 The ninja's hand positions were callled kuji in and unlocked certain aspects such as healing, mind reading, direction of energy etc. I have a good word file with pictures but I don't know how to send it to you
KwicKixJ1 Posted October 31, 2003 Posted October 31, 2003 i thought the ninja hand seals represented the same animals as in the chinese zodiac.
