Davison Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 good job, man! Why punch someone when their on the ground when you can just kick them
Punchdrunk Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 Outstanding - There's something to be proud of the rest of your days. One cannot choose to be passive without the option to be aggressive.
Black Dragon Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 Congratulations, I heard getting a BB in BJJ takes a long time. If it took you 12 yrs. then you are super legit. So recognize or be hospitalized Cuz literally on a scale from one to ten I'm 25.
pmh1nic Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 Congrats! It's a testament to your strength of will, determination and discipline. I hope you will continue to enjoy the journey. btroadman Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 Awesome, I hope to get there someday too, I just hope it doesn't take 12 years for me. How often did you train? BJJ - Blue BeltTaeKwonDo - Brown BeltKrav MagaKickboxing

JohnnyS Posted August 24, 2003 Author Posted August 24, 2003 I train 3-4 times per week, depending on injuries. When I started the only person teaching BJJ in Australia was a blue belt. It's faster now for people to get better because there are so many other people doing BJJ and more people who are better who can tell you the shortcuts. When I started there were no shortcuts and I had to work a lot of stuff out for myself because I only saw my instructor every few months. Sens55 Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 Outstanding. I takes dedication to show up at the gym every week, but to start with no one around and on your own is outstanding.
