Kumite988 Posted August 16, 2003 Posted August 16, 2003 Anyone know where I can find videos of Pinan Nidan, Sandan, Yodan etc....? Been looking for a while and I can't find anything.

Sasori_Te Posted August 16, 2003 Posted August 16, 2003 Go to Black Belt Magazine's web site. They have Master Fumio Demura's 5 tape collection for Shito Ryu. It is an excellent set. The website is https://www.blackbeltmag.com ..... I think, but I'm not totally certain. A block is a strike is a lock is a throw.

Sparkey Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 I just saw this thread, or I would have replied earlier. My Sensei made a video of Pinan 1-3. I think he did a really nice job of it, myself. You can have a look here: http://www.westsideshorinryu.com/videos Good luck!
hongkongfooi Posted August 27, 2003 Posted August 27, 2003 i got a video of my instructor if its any good to u doing all penan katas and a couple of others on it 2 http://www.quill47.karoo.net
Sasori_Te Posted August 27, 2003 Posted August 27, 2003 A better suggestion is probably this. If you have access to a video camera, ask your instructor if you can tape him doing the katas. This will give you a better idea of what he is expecting from you. I did this for a couple of my former students. A block is a strike is a lock is a throw.
