Jbone,

I'm 5'10'' and can jump kick 9'6'' working on 10 feet.

i don't think so. unless with a very big trampoline. but i may be misunderstanding what you are trying to say.

Yeah you misunderstood. Someone said they can jump kick 8 feet which is the bottom of a basketball backboard. I'm Five feet ten inches tall and I can run and jump kick nine feet six inches. I'm working on trying to jump kick up to ten feet. What I do is with no shoes I run and do the pump jump kick. Where you pump your knee and snap your other leg up for the kick. We have high kick contest at my school because my teacher saw on ESPN Billy Blanks son and this other dude compete and kick up to 10'6''!!! But they were allowed to fall down on their buts. We make a rule you have to land on your feet or in a squating position not laying down on your rear.

I'm working on the Capoeira double leg kick... :-? It's tough. My 540 can be pretty good at times.

Is there a site that has all kinds of tricks shown? Listed and described? Tutorials has some but not too many.

A special one I know is called Step-up missing back kick facedive.... it's like a step up back kick only you miscalculate the width of the target, send your back foot out into air and fall face first into the ground.

But yeah, step-up kicks rock, even if they aren't totally practical. Reklats - fighting? Does that mean you are part of my style as well?

The game of chess is much like a swordfight; you must think before you move.

9'6" is just sick. btw, the backboard is at 9' but you still got me. i didnt know people where keeping track of such a record, but i found that the record is 12' :o :o :o

We were practicing those jump kicks recently at the dojo where someone would hold a hand pad up high and you would try to kick it out of their hand. I was holding the pad for one of the instructors as high as I could and when he kicked it it flew up and knocked down one of the ceiling tiles which then crashed down on our heads.

Wow where did you find that? I seen guys in a couple downloads jump kick a basketball out of the wedge between the rim and the backboard. Haven't seen higher than that but getting 10' is possible. I think I can do it. Actually 12' is possibly especially if you have a trained Martial Artist who has a basketball player height. Ya know 6'6'' or taller jump kicking 12' shouldn't be uncommon. To see a little guy like me at 5'10'' is pretty cool flicking my foot up there.

About the guy who talked about the ceiling tile in the dojo. Funny I did the same thing and thats when I figured I could go higher. Our ceiling is only like a little above 8' but I broke one of the things. I also figured out then I could do a jump kick break. Killed two birds with one stone doing that. :karate:
