JerryLove
In point sparring, open with an attack (a spinning mule kick works well considering most point sparring arts). That way MFers that like to just charge in early get caught https://www.clearsilat.com
Shorinryu Sensei
I've only fought in one point tournament (judged and ref'd dozens), and against a head kicker (assuming the groin is a legal target)..you can get away with this once/tournament against a TKD or other head kicker stylist. Get in a low stance, side facing your opponent. When he moves in and launches his head kick, drop to the floor and at the same time launch a side kick to his groin. Shakes them up pretty good, and they won't try THAT again! lol This is one reason we don't do head kicks at all in my system. Good way to get neutered! My nightly prayer..."Please, just let me win that PowerBall Jackpot just once. I'll prove to you that it won't change me!"

Hoju
If you ever saw the movie, Field of Dreams, you'll know the ultimate secret. Right before you begin, wink at the other person with a slight smile. Make them think you know something they don't.
jeffrogers
For fun in a point sparring tourment or sparring in general if your opponent moves by hopping around. I seen other spars do this were the bounce up and down and move around that way. Time them on there bounce soon as they are on there up go in and hit them. They are off balance and can't get a good defense or offense on them they are pretty vulnerable. So just catch them on the way up of there bounce and can get in on them 99.9% of the time. that .1% is not in there because if you mess up the technique timing it wrong or to far a distance which again throws off the timing and they are on the way down already back in there base they can counter. Not a secret at all it is widely known. There isn't many secrets out there that I know of except one. Practice thats the biggest secret that people end up over looking. What some consider secrets to others is just common knowlege and every day common practice. -Jeff
