Always better to be safe and bow, rather than offend anyone by mistake.

So recognize or be hospitalized

Cuz literally on a scale from one to ten I'm 25.

Do what the school tells you to do.

Some schools don't bow at all, when there, don't bow.

Some schools spend more time bowing then training, but I wouldn't recommend going there...

Do you bow when you enter church? No? Then why bow when you enter the dojo?

My club trains in a sports centre, and we don't bow when entering it. Sometimes if someone comes in late, they bow at the corner of the area we train in before starting training, but I'd feel odd doing that if I ever arrived late.

I don't think I've ever actually seen a "dojo" here. Most martial arts clubs are run out of church halls, YMCAs, sports centres etc. so I can't really say what I'd do when entering a building used specifically for training.

Smile. It makes people wonder what you've been up to.

We genuflect before we enter the pew. And we bow when we pass before the blessed sacrament.

I agree. Follow the protocals of the school you are at. If in doubt, bow. If you did it wrong, I doubt any one will be offended, since you showed respect. And that is the main thing.

How many basketball players feel the need to bow as they step onto the court?

Actually, I think that should be a requirement- might do them some good! Most pro BB players have the morals of an alley cat.
