shazaam Posted September 26, 2003 Posted September 26, 2003 Point fighting can create bad habits for the street but has some sporting benefits for building character. Peace, Love, Harmony
superleeds Posted October 7, 2003 Posted October 7, 2003 Yo Monkeygirl! Why are you currently retired?? Read a book!
Mr. Hall Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 Point fighting involves finding targets and engaging them with control. Some will argue that this type of fighting requires more planning, technique, skill than full contact fighting. If you are the tournament host depending on what you believe is how the tournament will be run. CPU Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 their are advantages to both, pointfighting allows you to develope control, while full contact allows you to develope your power. In an actual street fight your going to need both. Sparring - loved by many perfected by few

Guy_Mendiola Posted December 11, 2003 Posted December 11, 2003 that sucks you have to concentrate on hitting those colored points on the chest guard in point sparring and i wish there was a point on the head gear.

CPU Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 depending which art your in some DO allow kicks to the head, however most tournaments don't allow it. Sparring - loved by many perfected by few
