tenkamusou Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 Hi... I bought a book about chi kung... a great book.. teaches a lot of basics exercises... so, I wanna know if anyone here knows any Martial Chi Kung\qigong exercises... and if there're some practicioners who could give a few words on how chi kung helped them... The name of the author is Wong Kiew kit... And I'd also wanna know if there are any chi kung teachers around this forum that would wanna share some info... If you could improve yourself in only three or two months, everybody would be invencible...
gunit Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 Hi, Sifu Wong Kiew Kit is a Shaolin and Taijiquan grandmaster in Malaysia right now. His site is at http://shaolin-wahnam.tripod.com and http://www.wahnam.com Feel free to visit there! "The Art of Chi Kung" is a wonderful book. I practice Three Circle Stance and Sinew Metamorphosis (Yi Jin Jing). For a beginner like you, you should practice "Lifting the Sky" and "Carrying the Moon," especially if you don't have an instructor or master watching you. Lifting the Sky can clear all your blockages and give you a lot of energy if you practice correctly. Correctly, meaning without tension and mind distraction and without forcing the breathing. Hope this helps!
JerryLove Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 How *didn't* it help? What qigong has done for my ability to exert and absorb force has been truely impressive for me; my health is better, my root is better, my sensitivity to intent is higher. Great stuff https://www.clearsilat.com
tenkamusou Posted August 9, 2003 Author Posted August 9, 2003 Gunnit! thanx! I have that book Chi Kung ( qigong) for Health and Vitality! But if you could share some exercises w/ me I'd be very glad! And a question.. when I do the liftin the sky, when I get my hands above my head and stop the breathing for a few seconds, and I should push the sky up... should that make some pressure on my back muscles? thanx jerry for replyin... if you wish.... please share a few exercises, of a few hints for me.. cause I'm a begginer... thanx! If you could improve yourself in only three or two months, everybody would be invencible...

Warp Spider Posted August 9, 2003 Posted August 9, 2003 No offense, but the sky isn't very heavy. You lift it all the time just by standing up. Paladin - A holy beat down in the name of God!

JerryLove Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 (edited) And a question.. when I do the liftin the sky, when I get my hands above my head and stop the breathing for a few seconds, and I should push the sky up... should that make some pressure on my back muscles? It does not on mine. Make sure your butt is tucked and your neck is relaxed... Where in your back are you feeling it.thanx jerry for replyin... if you wish.... please share a few exercises, of a few hints for me.. cause I'm a begginer... I'm more than a little leary to try to teach qigong over text What is "sensitivity to intent"? I pick up on emotional intend much faster. I find myself reacting, for example, to an angry person waling in the room without realizeing the've walked in. Edited August 11, 2003 by JerryLove https://www.clearsilat.com
tenkamusou Posted August 11, 2003 Author Posted August 11, 2003 the few martial arts qigong exercises I mentioned was the 2 that were in the book... not the quantity that exist on the whole system... If you could improve yourself in only three or two months, everybody would be invencible...
