dtstiachi Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 I have a total gym, I don't know anyone that has a bowflex. "The journey of a 1,000 miles starts with but a single step."
Ryokeen Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 It's my personal beleif that the boflex helps some what but not as much as the OLD OLD fasion way of just using your body."Your body is the best peice of equiptment out there, why don't you use it?"My favorite qouteAnd well frankly my body does me just fine. Sure it's boring and well you don'tget to pull on ropes tied to wieghts, but it sure is beneficial. My two Cents. Needing to focus...
Aodhan Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 I had a bowflex, and sold it quickly after I got it.It wasn't easy to maintain a flow for the workout, always having to stop and adjust for the next exercise, the cables always felt unsteady, the bench was flimsy. The rower never worked right (Although I did get it used), and it just seemed unstable in general.Free weights and dumbbells all the way.Aodhan There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.-Douglas Everett, American hockey player
Menjo Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 I have better stuff lying around my house that isnt even ment for working out... "Time is what we want most, but what we use worst"William Penn
koko1969 Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 my opinion... too expensive.get a nice set of free weights.
orion82698 Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 You would be better off duct taping two 16lb bowling balls together to a broom stick and curling that. Personally, you can get a better gym for half the cost. I got my olympic gym (with preacher bench, pull down & pull up features, plus 400lbs in plate weights) for $500. I have had it for 3 months, and it's awesome, and I have seen huge differences in my body! I don't have to be the best, just better than you!Working towards 11% BF and a Six pack
