Iron Arahat
I have done judo for years, but switched to kungfu, as obviously the is not striking in judo, and I felt I learned what I needed from the sport. My brother still takes judo and has never stopped, over 16 years he has trained in judo. We still fight any time we can. It's funny when we get together, often we end up in the basement or in the backyard and practicing. Slim
I did judo with my younger brother for a few years at a local club, it was great fun, never got to compete though, at that age I was a bit light I think. Learning to dive roll is up there with the most important skills I have ever learnt. Saved my neck (and other bits) in a motercycle accident a year ago. I got to orange belt and then left a did a bit of Katate. Judo ended up being better.
jdash
Judo is fun, it also helps you to round out your skills so that you have some knowledge when the fight ends up on the floor I have been studying Judo since I restarted in the martial arts about a year ago (sadly I haven't been able to make the class for the past month because of schedule conflicts) but it is a great sport, and a lot of fun too.
