Drunken Monkey Posted July 29, 2003 Author Posted July 29, 2003 hey hey, where abouts in kent? post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."

telsun Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 Bob Breens JKD school springs to mind. Dartford and London. I keep asking God what I'm for and he tells me........."gee I'm not sure!"
Drunken Monkey Posted July 29, 2003 Author Posted July 29, 2003 i know. was kinda just hoping that peple would give details about what they practice and stuff. y'know, nothing beats advice from people with personal experience and who better to ask than people who practice the grappling arts. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
Cyph Posted August 5, 2003 Posted August 5, 2003 well i don't neccessarily need something that i can use WITH wing chun I would think otherwise, it's all about integrating the arts you study IMO so they become one. Shoot fighting would be good since you learn how to integrate striking & grappling. Though, if you just want to add ground figting to your art, nothing is better than BJJ since it specialises in positional domaince and joint locks. Wrestling is excellent for nasty takedowns; Judo has nice throws.
Drunken Monkey Posted August 5, 2003 Author Posted August 5, 2003 the way wing chun is taught/learnt means you don't think about what to do. in this respect whatever i learn after wing chun will not really interfere with my wing chun. after all, i am the one using the moves/theories/techniques. i am not bound by what it says in the book. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
Ben Posted August 27, 2003 Posted August 27, 2003 wow certainly admire that mindset That new style looks awesome. something to definatly look out for. i too would suggest BJJ from everything i have heard and read. not that i need to say this to you, but: keep an open mind and have a go
