martialartist1 Posted July 25, 2003 Posted July 25, 2003 could someone please tell me how to toughen the shins and foot like the muay thai fighters? does constantly kicking the kickbag help and toughen the shins and foot at all, and is it actually effective that way? i've tried kicking the kickbag a few times, but im not sure if any progess in toughening my shins and foot would be made, because it just seems the same. also the other thing is i usually kick the bag with trousers on, could that be another reason why my shins and feet are not so tough, do i need to do it with out trousers on? also when you kick the bag, do you point your toes or do you bend them back, because i notice that when you point the toes, the shin and lower leg muscles are not contracted, but if you bend the toes back, then the muscles are then contracted. which is right? also do i need to moisturize my skin on the legs? someone please help me!
