Would it be bad if it was the first art I will study...? If I study either of the two?

San Soo or Krav Maga. Both are well rounded arts.

I'd pick BJJ from the options presented here. BJJ only means prolonged rolling on the ground when you have an equally skilled ground grappler against you. Otherwise it can be quite quick and often without need to going down at all. The "ground grappling only BJJ" is a myth based on the sport fighting BJJ.

I train BJJ and I'd agree that it's great for self-defense.

However, Krav Maga MIGHT be better for you. They teach weapons defenses, etc... And they do adrenaline rush training.

Although, I don't do Krav Maga (I do BJJ, Muay Thai, and Boxing) I hear that it's pretty good against common street thugs. Maybe TJS should answer this question. He does Krav.

This is a topic for the Comparative Styles forum. With that in mind, remember to keep the conversation to comparing the training methods/techniques of each style, not "which is better for self-defense".
