ZR440 Posted July 25, 2003 Posted July 25, 2003 We call people from Ohio and Indiana flatlanders for good reason, until you get towards the river. It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
Shorin Ryuu Posted July 25, 2003 Posted July 25, 2003 I like the altitude (7,258 ft. or 2,212 meters). It makes the air nice and clean and fun for training...When I was a survival instructor for three weeks this summer, we went to a national park where the altitude was 9,500 ft. That was a lot of fun. SaiFightsMS Posted July 25, 2003 Posted July 25, 2003 We call people from Ohio and Indiana flatlanders for good reason, until you get towards the river. Ohio is not totally flat either there are areas that are quiet hilly; particularly in southeast Ohio.
ZR440 Posted July 28, 2003 Posted July 28, 2003 Yeah, getting towards the Ohio River. I really hate traveling across that turnpike at the speed limits they have posted. At least the terrain changes a bit as you shoot down 77. It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
SaiFightsMS Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 At least the rest stops now have plumbing. As late as the 70's truckers used to make jokes about the facilities in the rest stops in Ohio. Either go before you get here or hold it all the way through they would say.
