well, but that just brings us back to who has the right to just "write history"? shouldn't it just be written as it happened?

Yes it did, and I can't agree with it. But just for the sake of not sounding like a complete devil's advocate, I will say that I am pleased they are dead. Not nice, but as I said originally, it is definately good for all concerned.
