herezaquarter Posted July 21, 2003 Posted July 21, 2003 I understand that Jeff Jones, longtime assitant to Rick Tucci at Princeton Academy of Martial Arts, has left to start his own school. Just wondering whether anyone knows whether the split was on good terms or not.

Truth Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 HI. Just wanted to post a reply to this. I was a student of Rick Tucci's for many years. The split between Rick and Jeff was supposed to be on good terms. At least that is what Rick said at first. Then when Jeff left to open his school Rick started a lawsuit against Jeff. And is now trying to get Jeff's school shut down. Truth
herezaquarter Posted December 13, 2003 Author Posted December 13, 2003 Thanks for the reply. I am sorry to hear there was a falling out. To my knowledge they always got along very well so it is a little surprising to see things end this way. I'm surprised Rick would file a lawsuit. It seems to me that there is enough room for both schools. It also seems curious that a martial artist of Rick's stature would feel the need to respond to competition through the courts rather than feeling confident in his own school, skills, and reputation.
