Things NOT to say to your instructor...

Recommended Posts

When i first started i thought what would happen if i just went and hit my sifu.

two options:

A) you hit him/her and she takes it. Then, you die or are banned from the system, but not before doing a near-death (literally) workout

B) you miss and try to play it off.

I've been practicing and I even took boxing before...I don't think you could touch me.

(A student of a fellow instructor actually said that to me. He knows better now.)

After my class was over last week, I answered my phone, loudly, during the next class. I got a glare and a "take it outside" gesture for that (with which I complied, quickly). Luckily it was all cool next class, but I felt like such an * for doing that.
