I think 3 years of age is to young for any martial art. Because they have the consentration span of a goldfish. ( about 3 seconds).

I belief that 3 is way too young, 8 is also way too young. When you start off at 8 then you get your black belt at age 12-13 depending on what school you go to, you will instantly forget everything that you learned in the past in a year or so! I say start out at the age of 13 or so when your attention span and learning abilitiy is higher.

Do unto others, as they done to you.

I'm agree that the best age to start martial arts is early teens.. about 13 to 14 ... that was the age i had my first martial arts experience.

Thanks.

I turn alot of younger students away, but there is no set age. Each child is different, some are ready, some are not. A seven year old may be ready, where as a 12 year old isn't. I have told parents with younger kids under 8 that if they are to enroll I would simply be taking their money, and their child would be learning very little...but I still make it a parents choice. I personally do not babysit, I try to instill some discipline, but we all know how kids can be.

It takes sacrifice to be the best.

There are always two choices, two paths to take. One is easy. And its only reward is that it's easy.
